The History of the square in Aurillac

This place is the meeting point for people who arrive in the town centre of Aurillac. Compared with a heart, it gives a rhythm at this town. Everything is born, everything disappears thanks to festive events of this historic and shopping centre. In the nineteenth century, Jean Charles-Adolphe Alphand, an engineer, drew this park . Recently, the place of the Square was rearranged with the suppression of parking in surface to give, then, a beautiful pedestrian area and an underground parking. But the listed park, which have the bust of an Aurillacois poet: Arsène Vermenouze, wasn't changed. At the origin of the city, this area, without walls, was the meadow of the Bomb.

The booklet of the exhibition

The title of our work and the type of media chosen:

If we were a landscape. We will make a video.

Si nous étions un paysage. Nous allons réaliser une vidéo.

Our idea on our work:

We hope that the visitors will understand our personnality: we are calm and we like nature, freedom and animals.

Nous espérons que les visiteurs vont comprendre notre personnalité: nous sommes calmes et nous aimons la nature, la liberté et les animaux.

Relevant song:

"Earth song" of Michael Jackson. This song is about nature and peace. With this song, Michael Jackson wanted to increase public awareness of what we do on the nature, the planet. This song represent our work very well because our work speaks a lot about nature: we wanted you to understand that nature is a very good present and it's not necessary to modify it; we must protect and preserve it.

"Earth song" de Michael Jackson. Cette chanson parle de la nature et de la paix. Avec cette chanson, Michael Jackson voulait sensibiliser le public à propos de ce que nous faisons subir à la nature et à la planète. Cette chanson représente très bien notre oeuvre car notre oeuvre parle beaucoup de la nature: nous voulons vous faire comprendre que la nature est un très beau cadeau et qu'il n'est pas nécessaire de la modifier; nous devons au contraire la protéger et la préserver.

The project:: If I were a lanscape

For this exhibition, we will make a video with some photos taken in the Square, in Aurillac.
This park's landscapes, avove all the fountain, represent us very well because it represents calm, peace and freedom. For this video, we will record a dialogue between Laura and me, in this park and in this dialogue we will explain what this landscape represent, why we like this lanscape and why it represent our personality.

Pour cette exposition, nous allons réaliser une vidéo avec des photos prises dans le parc du Square, à Aurillac. Beauty interf-hole everybody at present .only problems between 1920 and 2010 the models are more and more thin .Cindy Crawfords critiqued fashion by saying that she would never have been able to become one stars with his physical appearance which corresponded to the 1980 years but now she is not any more considered to be a model.

we often things in terms of opposites likes "ugly" versus "beautiful"

Lyrics of "Je suis comme je suis" Jacques Prevert

" je suis comme je suis " Jacques Prevert

I am what I am

I am what I am

I am made like that

When I want to laugh

Yes I laugh out loud

I love him who loves meIs it my fault

If this is not the sameI love every time

I am what I am

I am made like that

What do you want more

What do you want meI am made to please

And then there is no change

My heels are too high

My size too curved

My breasts too hard

And my eyes too identified

And then after

What difference does it make you

I am what I am

I like to which I please

What difference does it make you

What happened to meYes I loved someone

Yes somebody loved me

Because children who love

Just know how to love

Love love ...

Why question me

I'm here to please you

And then there is no change.

My self-portrait

This image shows that I love animals and it shows that I love sport with my tee-shirt. I love animals because in my opinion if you love your animal, he loves you as well as you do. According to me, animals are great for children. They give you self-confidance.When I am with my dogs, I am relaxed and happy.

The 4th Plinth of Trafalgar Square:

What is the Fourth Plinth?

The Fourth Plinth is in the north-west of Trafalgar Square, in central London. Built in 1841, it was originally intended for an equestrian statue but was empty for many years. It is now the location for specially commissioned artworks. In my opinion ,it's a very useful thing but to my mind it's a pity that it was empty for many years. If i was at their place, I would put a very precious statues to decorate the town and for tourists.

Artists write about painting portraits….

The distance from the chin to the nostrils makes up a third of the face. It is the same from the nostrils to the eyebrows, and again from the eyebrows to the hairline. From one ear to the other, the distance is the same as from the eyebrows to the chin. The width of the mouth is the same as that from the middle of the lips to the chin.
Leonardo da Vinci

To displace. Put the eyes where the legs are, the genitals where the face is. To contradict. To do an eye face on and one sideways. Nature does many things like me, but she hides them.
Pablo Picasso

The way the nose is rooted in the face, the way the ear is screwed into the skull, the way the lower jaw is hung, the intensity of the gaze…
Henri Matisse

By the way, I am not a prince, but someone who makes his living from his handicraft.
Peter Paul Rubens

I have finished the portrait of me that you wanted… You will not be disappointed; I have kept my promise, since I have chosen the best and most lifelike for you: you will see the difference for yourself.
Nicolas Poussin

In a head, the first thing for an artist to do is to make the eyes speak…then you move on to how the nose sticks out. The sloping nostril is a good means of expression: it indicates a peaceful character.
Dominique Ingres

I am getting really old, I am covered in wrinkles, and you would not even recognize me apart from my puggish nose and my sunken eyes… What is certain is that I look my age: forty-one…
Francisco Goya
The flesh only has its true colour in the open air, especially in the sunlight. The local complexion must be transparent; though if halftoned it gives the illusion, in principle, of the blood under the skin.
Eugène Delacroix

I have bought for the purpose a fairly good mirror in order to work using myself as a model, as I do not have a real model, because if I manage to paint the colouring of my own head, which is a bit of a challenge, I could then just as easily paint the faces of other good men and women.

biography vincent van gogh :
Vincent Willem van Gogh was born from 30 March 1853and died the 29 July 1890 was a Dutch painter. Little appreciated during his lifetime, his fame grew in the years after his death. Today, he is widely regarded as one of history's greatest painters and an important contributor to the foundations of modern art. Van Gogh spent his early adulthood working for a firm of art dealers and traveled between The Hague, London and Paris, after which he taught in England. During this time he began to sketch people from the local community, and in 1885 painted his first major work the potato eaters.. In March 1886, he moved to Paris and discovered the French impressionist.

describe: The medium that Vincent van Gogh painted his portait was the gouache and the oil.the size was 553*630, colors were orange, red, yellow, green, dark, white. It was a portrait who had very light and no very shade. The style of the portrait was expressionnnist and impressionnist.the subject treated was the mutilation of Vincent van Gogh who is made. The artist tried to sayabout himself what he is made.We learn that he was sad , dissapointed. In my opinion he waits his end as thought he was relinquished.Personnally,i thinks Vincent van Gogh have fifty when he painted his portrait because he have wrinkle. The portrait was intended for the people who despire him and not know him.My emotions when i lookingat the portrait are that i thinkshe was made and very sad. In my opinion we felt pity of him.
